My Name is Clarissa D. White. I was born in Chicago, IL on October 7. I became and Arkansan at the age of 13 where I grew up in the small town of Carlisle, Arkansas. I graduated from Carlisle in 1988. I also had my only son that year. His name is Patrick. I graduated from Philander Smith College in 1998 and started teaching in the Little Rock School District. I am currently working to pursue my masters in Theory and Practice at University of Arkansas Jonesboro. I enjoy sports, traveling and watching movies. A person that I admire is Marva Collins. She taught me to believe that every child can and will learn if you teach them. My favorite saying is "Make everyday a day to learn something new."
